View Full Version : couple of ideas i thought of
Ranking System:
Ive seen this before and i loved it, maybe you could implement your own system kubi.
Heres what i mean say you train 10 elites (dwarfs) and they kill a specific amount of enemies they get a rank like army style.
1 Stripe for 10 kills
2 Stripes for 30 kills etc
A league mode for skirmish would also be cool, would give the single player skirmish mode a meaning as such at the moment theres no reward for doing skirmishes i think doing this would add some enjoyment out of skirmish mode.
what you think?

I saw something similar to this in TA: Kingdoms, though they use bronze silver and gold.

Something similar is also in the games of Age of Wonders, they use it also, if a weaker unit slays a stronger enemy, but itīs a turn-based strategy.
You have this in Spellforce 1 - in fact for one of the dwarf-types. They "level up" after a certain amount of experience points.
This also does exist in SF2. When the hurlers kill an enemy they gain 40 HP. Not sure whether that's base stats or they just gain 40 HP.

Hi,
Hey! I never knew that!:)
What happens to the dwarves, and what unit is it?

Don't know the exact english name but the German one translates to "defenders" . These are the guys in SF 1, who can throw their hammers (they need an upgrade for that I think). Since they are the only ranged fighters among the dwarves, they are pretty useful anyway on "dwarf-only" maps.
Don't know, how their stats are modified exactly by "levelling up". But it was explained somewhere. Maybe in the paper sheet explaining buildings and so on?

Every single dwarf unit went up a level when it killed a unit. I think the dwarf units could only go up 3-5 levels though.
i actually meant you could see the rank in game mode he would have a stripe or rank nest to his head so you knew whihc were the strongest, and the new rank gave him a bonus like +10 armour etc this would be good for all factions.
